Advertise with us

The Window Standard costs readers nothing, and advertising is what pays for it. If you work in or around the Australian window-furnishings trade, this page states the offer, the refusals and the rates. If you already know what you need, the advertising enquiry form is here.

Who reads it

The trade and the people who buy from it: manufacturers and importers of blinds, curtains, shutters and awnings, the installers and retailers who fit them, and the specifiers and builders who choose them. They come for explainers that treat this as an industry with real standards, from child-safety regulation and testing through to materials, energy performance and pricing, each claim linked to the standard or the ruling behind it. The audience is narrow and knows the subject, so an overstated reach claim would be spotted here faster than most places. Ask what the traffic is and you will get the plain answer.

Two ways to advertise

Clearly labelled display advertising. A slot that is marked as advertising and kept clear of the editorial, carrying your wording unaltered. It does not masquerade as an explainer, and it buys no influence over what we publish.

Sponsored content. Written and checked by us to the standard the rest of the site meets, labelled wherever it runs. Compliance claims get traced to the actual standard, and test results get attributed. It works when there is something real: a product that meets a standard others do not, guidance an installer would be glad to have, work you have genuinely done. It does not work as a page of adjectives.

What the standard actually looks like

Telling you a paid piece is held to the same standard as the reporting is worth nothing unless you can see the standard. We have not sold a sponsored piece yet, so there is no sponsored example to show you. These are our own reporting, and they are the bar a paid piece is written to:

That is what a data-led piece buys: primary documents read end to end, every figure and quotation traceable to the source it came from, and a question a reader actually has, answered in the first screen. If what you want is a page of adjectives, we are the wrong site and the rates below will look expensive.

What we will not do

This trade turns on safety claims that people rely on, so the line matters more here than it would selling almost anything else. We do not write fake or paid-positive reviews, and no advertiser buys a favourable verdict, a test result or a place on a list. An arrangement buys a labelled placement, never coverage, never a soft edit. A brief that needs a safety standard overstated, a certification implied where none exists, or a commercial interest hidden gets a refusal and the reason. Corded-blind safety is the clearest example: it is regulated because children have died, and it is not a subject we will soften for a booking.

Disclosure, every time

Any commercial relationship is stated in plain words where it appears. In a trade where buyers are already sorting real compliance from marketing language, being visibly upfront is what distinguishes you from the noise. Australian Consumer Law requires it, and the rule would stay here without it.

Rates and how to enquire

A sponsored piece starts at $450 and typically comes in around $600. Industry associations and not-for-profits start at $150. Put a real dataset behind it, with a chart we author and a note on method, and it starts at $1,100, in line with the work.

A display box is from $80 a month, near $120 in practice, three months minimum. The Standard is new and its trade readership is still small, so a box is a presence rather than a campaign, and we would sooner tell you that than take three months up front.

About, per week0 search-referred views

Measured over the 30 days to 2026-10-02, from our own server-side logs. These count views of stories, not of our tip form, advertise page or colophon. They are page views, not people: we run no cookies and no client-side script, so unique visitors cannot be counted and we will not quote you a number we cannot stand behind. The lower figure is the floor we are confident in. The range subtracts an estimate of our own visits, measured against staged mastheads nobody can reach.

The rate is published because this trade has heard enough vagueness. What you are paying for is someone reading the actual standard and writing what it says, which is the scarce part and the reason anyone reads this site at all.

An enquiry binds you to nothing. Send it through the advertising enquiry form, say what you make or fit and the angle you are considering, and we will reply.

Who writes this, and how it is checked and labelled, is at how this site works.
